GETTING STARTED
Jungle Squad is a card-battle game for 2 or more players. To play, each person needs at least 12 cards. You can combine decks with friends for bigger games.
There are two types of cards: Character Cards – kept hidden in your hand. Function Cards – placed face-up on the table so everyone can see them.
PLAYING THE GAME
Deal out all the cards equally, face down. Separate Character and Function cards. The player to the left of the dealer starts. They pick one attribute (like Size or Humour) from the top card in their hand and read out its score. Each other player reads the same attribute from their own card. The highest score wins the round. The winner collects all the cards played that round and places them at the back of their hand. The round winner then starts the next round. If there’s a tie, the first person to shout “SQUAD UNITE!” wins the round.
ACTION CARDS
Function cards give players special abilities. Once played, they can’t be used again. You may use more than one in the same round.
- Spirit of the Jungle – Add +20 to any attribute on your card.
- Flames of Ruin – Take -20 off any opponent’s attribute.
- Secret of the Shadows – Skip your turn and keep your card.
- Stealth Kidnap – Steal the card of the player whose turn it is.
- Flip the Lead – Take over as the starting player for the next round.
- Rescue Raid – Take any card you choose from another player’s hand.
WINNING THE GAME
If you run out of cards, you’re out! Play then continues until one player has collected all the cards. That player is crowned King or Queen of the Jungle! 🐾👑
